August 2025 Louise Boulet is proof that positivity pays off Blog About us Home Insights Blog Louise Boulet is proof that positivity pays off Meet the Minds: The People of atNorth Interview conducted by Bylgja Pálsdóttir, Senior Communications Manager In our latest Meet the Minds spotlight, we caught up with Louise Boulet at atNorth, who’s based in our Danish office. From spearheading atNorth’s strategic framework to leading community engagement across the Nordics, Louise brings energy, vision, and purpose to everything she does. When did you join atNorth and what does your role involve? I joined atNorth in June last year – although it feels like I’ve been a part of the team for a lot longer! I’m the Strategy Manager here, which means I look after our strategic framework, our pillars, and how we turn our long-term ambitions into short-term, achievable goals. My role is all about alignment, making sure everyone at atNorth understands how their work contributes to our wider business priorities. I help set and monitor our goals, and make sure the reporting is clear and meaningful. I also keep a close eye on the data center industry in the Nordics to track where new sites are being built. More recently, I’ve taken on responsibility for our Community Engagement Framework, helping to build strong partnerships with local communities across our regions. It’s important to me that we not only grow responsibly but also give back where we can, with the goal of aligning with planetary boundaries and social foundations in everything we do. Can you tell us about your career journey so far? I began my career about seven years ago in a similar role, but a completely different industry: insurance. I worked directly with a COO and then a Managing Director at two of Europe’s largest insurance firms, first in France where I’m from, then in Ireland where I lived for five years. After that, I became a business consultant at Ernst & Young in Ireland, working on large-scale public Power & Utilities projects with nationwide impact. While the sectors I’ve worked in have changed, there’s a natural flow to my journey. I’ve always been drawn to complex challenges, new people, and learning how things work. Now at atNorth, I feel proud to be part of a company that’s not only at the forefront of a critical industry, but also truly pioneering when it comes to sustainable IT. What have been some of the most memorable moments in your career? At atNorth, my most memorable moment was right at the start, joining the company and travelling to Iceland and Sweden to meet the team. It was incredible to see how our ambitions weren’t just words on a page, but that they’re embedded in everyone’s day to day work. I came back from those visits feeling inspired and ready to contribute to something meaningful. Another special highlight was being invited to the French Embassies in Dublin and London to speak about my career after being nominated for an award for my work while I was at Credit Agricole Creditor Insurance. It was a real honour and a moment I’ll always treasure. What are you most looking forward to this year at atNorth? There’s a lot to be excited about! I’m especially looking forward to seeing DEN01, our first Danish data center, go live and moving into our brand-new permanent office just across the road. I’m also excited to be a part of the team organising the content for atNorth’s Retreat in Helsinki this September. It’s shaping up to be a great week and brilliant opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the business. Speaking of fun – I’ll be joining several of my friends and colleagues in August to proudly represent atNorth at our Danish office-sponsored run in Copenhagen! If you could fast forward five years, where do you think you’d find yourself? It’s hard to say – life is full of surprises! But I hope I’ll still be in a fulfilling role, contributing to the common good. Ideally, atNorth will have exceeded our current strategic goals, and I’ll still be playing a part in that success, setting new objectives to guide the company’s growth. Still being a part of that ongoing journey – that would be the best outcome I could hope for. Which atNorth value do you connect with most, and why? Dependable – without a doubt. I want my colleagues to know they can count on me, just as I count on them. Being dependable means being honest and setting clear expectations, which is something I really value. I’m a woman of my word, and that’s how I like to work. And finally – if you had to sum up what it’s like to work at atNorth in just three words? It’s tough to sum up a company like atNorth in just three words, but here’s what I think:Transparent: Our strategy is open to everyone, and so are the goals across each team. The level of transparency here is unmatched. Flexible: We’re trusted to deliver high-quality work on time, and the flexibility we’re given to achieve that is something I deeply appreciate. Dynamic: New projects, new people, new ideas – atNorth is a fast-moving and exciting place to be! Share
