FIN04 Myllykoski mega site Explore location Home atNorth data centers Finland data centers Myllykoski mega site Built for high-density workloads 45 hectares Campus size 180 MW Campus power capacity ≤ 1.2 PUE atNorth’s FIN04 mega campus is located in Myllykoski, Kouvola, approx. 139km north-east of Helsinki. This will be our fourth data center in Finland and will have a power capacity of 180MW with a path to power of several hundred additional MW. The site will cater for both colocation customers and build-to-suit projects and will be ready for operation in the second half of 2025. Working closely with the city of Kouvola and energy partner, KSS Energia, the FIN04 campus will feature circular principles in line with our commitment to sustainable operations. Excess heat from the data center to be recycled through the KSS heating plant to provide heating and hot water for the local community. FIN04 will leverage all the advantages offered by Finland: security, sustainability and energy efficiency. In addition to this, the cool climate allows for efficient natural free air cooling of IT infrastructure. Finland is a global tech leader and is at the forefront of digitalization and innovation. It is recognized as a preferred location for data centers as the country has one of the world’s most reliable electricity supply infrastructures and offers access to an abundance of cost efficient sustainable green energy. Working closely with the city of Kouvola and energy partner, KSS Energia, the FIN04 campus will feature circular principles in line with our commitment to sustainable operations. Excess heat from the data center to be recycled through the KSS heating plant and recycled to provide heating and hot water for the local community. Is there capacity to scale in Finland? Finland has one of Europe’s lowest population density with land open for development. With a reliable power infrastructure and a transparent regulatory framework ensure that your data center can expand here in the future. Our FIN04 campus has extensive scalable options. Will the Myllykoski mega campus be cooled using Direct Liquid Cooling? All new atNorth facilities will be liquid cooling ready. Direct liquid (DLC) cooling technology uses less water than air-cooled systems to keep servers cool because liquid is a more efficient circulator of heat. This combined approach of using DLC and warm water decreases the dependence on fans and expensive air handling systems to cool data center halls, which ultimately results in higher rack density, overall reduced power usage, and significantly advanced performance.
