atNorth’s FIN05 mega site is located in Salo, Finland, approximately 1.5 hours from Helsinki and 40 minutes from Turku. The campus is designed for large-scale, high-density workloads, with 230 MW of gross power capacity and up to 160 MW of IT capacity.

The site combines significant capacity with a strategic location in southern Finland, offering strong connectivity and access to established transport and technology infrastructure. The first phase will provide 60 MW of IT capacity, with power availability planned for Q3 2028.

FIN05 will leverage the advantages of operating in Finland, including reliable power infrastructure, access to renewable energy, and a cool Nordic climate that supports energy-efficient data center operations.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Finland ideal for high-density data center campuses?

Finland is a global tech leader and is at the forefront of digitalization and innovation. It is recognized as a preferred location for data centers as the country has one of the world’s most reliable electricity supply infrastructures and offers access to an abundance of cost-efficient sustainable green energy.

How are colocation data centers in Finland cooled?

Finland has a cold but stable climate. With average high daytime temperatures below 5°C across the region for several months of the year, there are considerable opportunities for natural cooling.
