Advania needed geographically separated sites in Iceland for data redundancy and resilience, as well as the capacity to support compute-intensive workloads across the region. This move enables full geographic separation within Iceland – a key requirement for customers in regulated sectors – while benefiting from atNorth’s 100% renewable energy supply and advanced cooling technology. Together, atNorth and Advania are advancing a shared vision: delivering scalable, efficient, and sovereign compute infrastructure powered by sustainable energy. The collaboration highlights how two Nordic technology leaders can combine strengths to support clients that demand both performance and responsibility. atNorth’s ICE03 site in Akureyri helps to ensure our data security. It is now possible to achieve geographical separation and mirroring of data domestically by utilizing two of atNorth’s sites in Iceland.
