In a recent publication by DataCentre Magazine, Sustainability Magazine and AI Magazine, atNorth is featured among the Top 100 Companies 2025, highlighting the company’s continued growth across the Nordics and its commitment to sustainable, high-performance data center operations.

The article features Anna Kristín Pálsdóttir, Chief Development Officer at atNorth, who shares insights into the company’s expansion strategy and the philosophy driving its development efforts. She explains how atNorth applies lessons from previous builds to scale more efficiently, with a focus on flexibility, modularity, and customer-centered design. Under her leadership, the company is advancing several new projects across the region, including additional capacity in Iceland and Finland, the expansion of its Swedish footprint, and the opening of its first data center in Denmark.

Sustainability remains at the core of atNorth’s operations. Every new site is evaluated not only for performance and scalability but also for its potential to contribute to the circular economy through initiatives such as heat reuse and local collaboration. Anna notes that “the most interesting innovation in our industry at this time is about what we can do to contribute further to a circular economy and be more sustainable in what we do.”

The publication also explores how atNorth’s design approach integrates efficiency, flexibility, and environmental responsibility to deliver infrastructure capable of supporting the world’s most demanding workloads – today and in the future.
