For the second consecutive year, atNorth has received recognition from Jafnvægisvogin for achieving its gender balance target at the senior leadership level. atNorth’s Senior People and Culture Manager, Hildur Sigurðardóttir, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.

Jafnvægisvogin, which translates as the “Balance Scale,” is an initiative led by FKA, the Association of Women in Business in Iceland, in collaboration with government and business partners. It works to improve gender balance in senior management across Icelandic companies, public institutions, pension funds and municipalities. Its target is for people of each gender to make up at least 40% of an organization’s top management. Organizations that meet the target receive recognition at the initiative’s annual awards ceremony.

For atNorth, receiving the award for a second year in a row is both a milestone and an encouragement to keep building an inclusive workplace. A balanced leadership team brings a wider range of perspectives to decision-making and can contribute to a stronger workplace culture and better outcomes for the company, its customers and the communities it serves.

“We are pleased to receive Jafnvægisvogin’s recognition for the second year in a row. It reflects the gender balance we have achieved in our senior leadership team, and we see it as an important part of building an inclusive workplace. We will keep working to ensure everyone has equal opportunities to grow, lead and make an impact” Eva Sóley Guðbjörnsdóttir, CFO and Deputy CEO at atNorth
